Involvement

In alignment with our core values, particularly emphasizing leadership, lifelong learning, and the pursuit of understanding that we might gain true wisdom, we advocate for active engagement of all our members in other campus organizations. Our aim is to foster a deep integration within the UNO community, perpetually striving to enhance its collective well-being. Participation in multiple organizations offers our members diverse experiences and broadens their social networks, contributing to their holistic development. Such involvement instills a sense of versatility among all Zeta members, enabling them to maximize their collegiate experience at UNO.

Many of our members independently cover chapter dues and living expenses, often through employment. This underscores our commitment to self-sufficiency and personal responsibility.

As a Sisterhood, one of our preferred avenues for campus involvement is through intramural sports. Competing against other campus organizations and teams in various sports, such as dodgeball, indoor and outdoor volleyball, basketball, and flag football, not only fosters camaraderie among us but also facilitates teamwork and fosters relationships with other campus entities.

Furthermore, Gamma Mu actively participates in charitable initiatives such as Dance Marathon, where we sponsor our own miracle child, Milly, and raise funds for Children's Hospital. Additionally, we engage in campus-wide events like Homecoming Week and collaborate with other Greek organizations, fostering connections through activities such as ice skating, game nights, and visits to local venues like Vala's. These interactions not only cultivate a vibrant Panhellenic community but also strengthen our ties with the broader UNO community.
